My journey to healing and well-being began at age 12, when I was diagnosed with scoliosis. Shortly after, I developed hyperkyphosis (a hunched upper back).

Years of chronic pain led me to seek answers beyond conventional western medicine. That search marked the beginning of my healing journey through movement. I discovered Pilates first as a client, and within months, I enrolled in two teacher training programs. Alongside my Pilates studies, I trained in the Feldenkrais Method®, deepening my understanding of the connection between movement and healing.

Drawn to rehabilitative work, I assisted my mentor and master trainer in teaching Pilates to clients with Multiple Sclerosis (MS). This experience sparked a profound interest in trauma-informed movement and neuroplasticity.

Over my 27 years of clinical practice, I have worked with a wide range of conditions, including:

  • herniated discs

  • hip replacement

  • knee reconstruction

  • rotator cuff injuries

  • frozen shoulder syndrome

  • carpal tunnel

  • spinal fusion

  • scoliosis

  • plantar fasciitis

  • bunions

  • chronic pain

  • postural and pelvic floor issues

In addition to Pilates and Feldenkrais, I have pursued certifications in ELDOA, nervous system regulation, and mindset coaching, expanding my expertise to address the body and mind holistically.

These experiences inspired me to develop my own healing method, which I taught for many years at The Loft Academy. Through this work, I trained and empowered instructors to expand  to carry this work forward, helping to expand its reach and impact.

Like many of my clients, I am deeply grateful for the role Pilates has played in my healing journey, and I’m passionate about sharing The Loft’s transformative approach with others.

Meet Brutus - Studio Therapy Dog

Brutus3.jpeg

Brutus is a golden doodle, a mix between a golden retriever and a poodle. This gentle well behaved giant (95 pounds of pure muscles) loves people, animals and most of all children.

Brutus was chosen for his personality. He’s calm yet not shy, smart, curious and engaged but not in your face. He’s a pleaser and a great communicator. He listens to everyone and he has always been welcomed back everywhere he goes.

Brutus’ job is to ease everyone’s tension, practitioners and clients alike. He can act goofy to make you laugh and knows a lot of tricks. He often sleeps or snores while we work together and will only interrupt the class when he feels any tension should be diffused.

I know that with some clients, I cannot go to the studio without Brutus.
